"Hallyu" is a term made to describe the gale of korean popular culture in foreign countries such as China or Japan. It first began to appear in the late 1990's when korean soap operas succeeded in China and Vietnam. While, the term "Hallyu" was actually made in 2000, when a famous korean singer group "H.O.T" made succeeded their concert in China. However, these days Hallyu is getting stagnated. The reason for recent stagnation can be found basically on two reasons. If we don't find a way to get it solved, Hallyu will soon disappear.
The recent stagnation of Hallyu is because it being degenerated. Hallyu started when we didn't even though about it. Foreigners just began to enjoy our cultures, since our traditions were original and also because of good artistic quality of contents, not expecting for profits. However, it began to become dull when we started to care about gains and when we began to stress our nationalism in movies for example.
Restoring Hallyu can be difficult, but it's worth a try. We must go back to the mental attitude we had when Hallyu first started. We should try to make a good artistic qualified contents, which contains generality that not even koreans can accept. The more we emphasis korean nationalism, the more severe impact will stroke Hallyu.
Hallyu has been a significant ways to introduce our culture to the world out of Korea. However, it is now stated in a crisis being stagnated. Therefore we must do our best to recover th risk.

Through out my life, there were many dilemmas that affected my life. They sometimes made me sense failure but in most times, they allowed me to look back to my past and progress. The most recent dilemma I had was according to stress that I got from necessity to manage both GPA and DOSP program.
My school has a program called DOSP for students who wants to study abroad. This program is planned after regular school hours. For that reason, DOSP students have more than double workload than ordinary students. I was and still am one of them and like all the other DOSP students did, I had a hard time managing my time on both GPA and my studies in DOSP classes for SAT and English.
I wasn't very serious about it until I saw my score report after midterm exam. However, after I saw my score report, I almost wanted to kill myself. If it wasn't my parents and teachers encouragement, I might had not only quote DOSP but also might had been depressed for a long time. Also a book named " Dreams can't be poor because I'm poor", which was written by a korean student, really helped me to calm down and get back to my studies. The author of this book was in similar situation which I am now facing, but he got over it. By reading how he solved the problems out, I realized that I could do it too.
By getting over this dilemma, thanks to all the people around me, I became strong and challenging person. Therefore I'm now ready to take any risk in my life.

There are many people who effected my life, such as teachers, friends, celebrities and so on. However, these people always inspired me for only short terms. A person who has really influenced the most in my life, is my mother. Her influence on me cannot be compared to that of any others.
Firstly, my mother and I are just like best friends. All of my friends get surprised when they hear our conversation. They always say that they envy me because they haven't seen any other mother and daughter this close. Since I trust my mother so much and since we talk a lot, I noticed that I was taking over my mother's behavior.
Secondly, she is the one told me how to live out in this world. She taught me to be brave at trying out new things. She always told me that being different from others is nothing to worry, and also never give up because other people's strange sights. And it now became one of my faith.
Lastly, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't my mother's support. Instead, I would have been "a big frog in a little pond" Before I came to Daeil Foreign Language Highschool, I lived in a small city called "Gangneung". In there, everybody praised me for my skills in English and other subjects. However, when I almost began to think that I was the best, my mother was the one who lead me to a larger stream. If it wasn't her, I would have been a just a big frog full of self-conceit. Thanks to her, I'm now attending this terrific highschool, competing with other students.
My mother is not only my best friend but also a great advisor in my life. To me, she deserves more respect than any other great man in the world. She is a person who has been influencing my life most and she forever will be my advisor in the future.
